OUR HISTORY

Built on experience. Strengthened by trust.

Landpower was founded in 1975 by Herby Whyte, whose entrepreneurial mindset and belief in long-term relationships continue to shape the business today. With a background in farming, Herby understood the pressure farmers face and the importance of reliable machinery backed by people who stand behind it. That practical understanding became the foundation Landpower was built on, and it continues to guide the business today.

Long-standing partnerships.

From the beginning, Landpower aligned with entrepreneurial, privately owned global machinery partners and built long-term partnerships that continue today, including:

  • GRIMME (partnered with in 1977)
  • CLAAS (partnered with in 1987)
  • AMAZONE (partnered with in 1998)
  • Väderstad in Australia (partnered with in 2010)

100% family owned.

Today, Landpower remains 100% family owned, with second-generation leadership actively involved at both Board and operational levels.

While the business continues to grow, the values it was built on remain unchanged:

  • Urgency in service
  • Trust and loyalty
  • Professional knowledge and capability
  • Long-term commitment to farmers and communities
